We didn’t have a white christmas as we anticipated but we had a few inches of snow a few days ago which left us exhausted. The kids were home for two days because their school was closed. The long weekend, made it possible to take a much needed break and unwind. Plus, it was my birthday weekend so any excuse to treat myself.

Before you get started in making your Snowflake bath bombs, you will need a few items. Nothing like sitting down to create something then realizing half way through the instruction that you don’t have some of the items.
Yes, it has happened to me more than I care to share. I asusme I have the items in my pantry only to find out that I have ran out or don’t have the right color or quantity.
DIY Snowflake Bath Bombs
Supplies Needed
silicone mold
baking soda
citric acid
coconut oil
peppermint essential oil
soap colorant
Wilton snowflake icing decorations
How to make DIY Snowflake Bath Bombs
To start, preheat your oven to 140°. Whisk your baking soda, citric acid and corn starch in a large glass or metal bowl. Add the coconut oil, peppermint essential oil and blue soap colorant. Stir well until you have achieved your desired shade of blue.
Transfer the mixture into the silicone mold and fill each mold, up to the top. The mixture will look and feel like sand granules. Place the mold on a cookie sheet and into the preheated oven. Turn the oven off and leave the door closed for 1 hour. Remove the silicone mold from the oven and immediately place the snowflake icing decorations into the middle of each bath bomb, pressing down gently.
Allow the bath bombs to air dry for an additional 8 hours. Carefully pop the bath bombs out of their molds and store in a mason jar or other airtight glass container.
