Green Juice with Kale, Pear and Ginger

Hope you’ve been staying true to your New Year resolution of eating healthy. There are loads of benefit to replacing your morning coffee with a nutrient packed green juice. To assist in making the choices a bit easier, here is an easy green juice recipe so add to your healthy regime. This green juice has pear, kale, cabbage, lettuce, and ginger. The pear is a great source of folic acid, it has antioxidants and it’s anti-inflammatory. Kale can help lower cholesterol and prevent heart disease. Ginger helps with gastric discomfort by calming the digestive system.

Ingredients

  • 1 bosc pear, skin on
  • 3 leaves lacinto kale
  • 1 inch slice of green cabbage
  • 2 large leaves of green leaf lettuce
  • 1 inch slice of ginger, peeled

Directions

  1. Wash all ingredients thoroughly.
  2. Core the pear and slice all produce to fit into juicer chute.
  3. Juice in masticating juicer according to the manufacturers instruction
  4. Drink immediately

If you don’t have a juicer, you can blend all the ingredients and use a fine-mesh strainer to get all chunks out.
