DIY Origami Gift Box – Pillow Gift Box
With every jingling bell I hear, it reminds me just how close we’re to the Holiday. If you still need a gift for that special someone on your list, here is a money saving idea for a unique homemade DIY Origami Gift Box. I made this Origami Gift Box using leftover toilet paper roll. Amazing right.
DIY Origami Gift Box
What you will need:
- Toilet Paper roll – I used SCOTT® 1000 Bath Tissue that I purchased at Dollar General. There is promo going on right now, where you can download a $1.00 off digital coupon. You can get the coupon via the DG App. Sign up on the Dollar General website, create an account and load the SCOTT® coupons you would like to use. The coupon is also valid at your local Dollar General.
- Wasabi tape in gold or silver
- Metallic silver color sharpie
- Self-adhesive holiday tag
How to Make a DIY Origami Gift Box
Step 1: Assemble the box
To make your origami gift box, you will fold the flap of the roll in half, making sure it overlaps and form the lid of your box. Repeat the process for the other side as well. At this point, you can put the gift inside the box. It’s perfect for a gift card, jewelry, money or anything small enough to fit.
Step2: Decorate your box
Cut the wasabi tape to size. Affix to the box and decorate as you see fit. To finish the look, add a self-adhesive holiday tag and you’re done. Now you can marvel in your work. You did a great job.
