Denon HEOS 5: A Wireless Speaker with Premium Sound. Last month during CE Week I got a chance to check out the HEOS by Denon Wireless speakers . Honestly, I have never heard of the company but they’ve been around for quiet some time. Since seeing the speaker in action, I have had my eyes on it; especially the Denon HEOS 5 a Wireless Multi-Room Sound System. It’s a great way to enjoy your favorite streaming music services, internet radio or your own music collection. Set-up was super easy with the help of the free HEOS app available on iOS and Android.
Denon HEOS 5: A Wireless Speaker with Premium Sound
Denon HEOS 5 delivered premium sound with a slick design which makes it easy to move around the house. It would be ideal for medium to large rooms such as dining rooms, larger bedrooms, offices or smaller living rooms.
There is an Ethernet port, USB port and an Auxiliary input for quick, easy wired network connection and it also allows simple wired connection with compatible devices.
It can be laid down horizontally or stood up vertically. Surprisingly there’s no Pause/Play button, but it has a volume and mute button on the side. You can also control it using the app.
It was pretty straight forward to set up. I followed the app prompt and in 5 simple steps, it was time to test out the sound.
You can stream from your favorite music service such as Pandora, Spotify, Deezer, Tunein or Napster. You can also stream music stored locally on your iOS or Android smartphone or tablet. However, you have to create a HEOS account before you can use any of the streaming services. The HEOS account is a master account for managing all of your HEOS music services with one single username and password. Another great feature is the Multi-room capability by combining Denon HEOS wireless speakers you can listen to music throughout the house.
