Netflix Picks To Help You Get Through Tough Times
I was originally going to title this Laughing Through The Pain, but opted against it because frankly the list isn’t limited to comedy. It’s a varied list with a healthy mix of comedy, drama, romance, documentary etc. How do you deal with pain? Or better yet, what do you do when you want to get away from the everyday craziness going on in your life and vacation isn’t an option. For me, I result to eating, reading a good book, binge watching and laughter. Laughter is suppose to be the best medicine, right? Anyway, we had an unexpected death in the family about two weeks ago, so to get my mind off the madness, I’ve been spending an obscene amount of time discovering new shows on Netflix.
He was young, and his passing took everyone by surprise. Even the death you plan for, are hard but I can’t seem to shake this off. I can’t help but think of his wife, how would she survive? OMG, his kids. I wish I had gotten to know him a bit more. Maybe, I shouldn’t have turn down their many request to come to dinner. So many questions, yet answers are futile. It doesn’t help that I am one of those people that hold on to things, I hold onto other peoples issues. If you tell me you’ve a headache, I get stressed worrying about your headache that I end up with a headache of my own. It’s a trait, I am not proud of and constantly working on.
Through binge watching, I revel in Grace and Frankie as they forge the bond of true friendship while coping with their divorce. I laugh endless as Kevin Hart shares anecdotes from his life in Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain.
