Cool Tech and Gadgets from CES 2016
I got back from CES® 2016 a few days ago and this year I decided on a different approach. I won’t be doing a recap of all the things I saw at CES; you can get that from other outlets. Instead, I’m focusing on the coolest tech I saw while at the show, hence Cool Tech and Gadgets from CES 2016. The one that didn’t make it to the post has been shared on Twitter while on site.

The Samsung SmartThings is what you need to connect your whole house without the added stress of connectivity. Plug the system into your router, set it up via an app and pair all your devices – Voilà. The system has a few preset routine that makes it easy to configure with the rest of your devices, best part it can connect to over 200 devices.
Samsung Add Wash. Samsung has made life easier by adding a little window to front load washing machine so you can add last minutes items in the middle of a cycle. Another great feature that add wash has is the “super speed”, which allow you to cut down laundry time from 1 hour to 30 minutes.
Netgear Arlo Q is the newest addition to Netgear line of security cameras. It’s a great indoor camera with 1080p HD video, 24/7 video recording, built-in microphone, and speaker. Since the recordings are saved in the cloud, you don’t have to worry about running out of space. Via an app, you can access everything going on at home, chat with your kids while you’re at work. Plus it’s easily expandable.
Huawei Watch Jewel. I think I finally found a smartwatch, I don’t mind wearing every day. At CES 2016, Huawei launched two watches, the Huawei Watch Jewel, and Huawei Watch Elegance. Both watches are stunning with a display resolution of 400×400. The Jewel version has Swarovski crystal bezel. The straps are interchangeable and simply beautiful.
Sengled Pulse Flex – Is a speaker and a smart LED bulb, so basically your light bulb is your speaker. It’s a 30-watts speaker, and you can use it alone or combined with up to eight bulbs.
Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator – Okay if I stumbled across 6k this is the refrigerator I will get. It’s powered by Tizen operating system and right from the door you can check the weather, access your calendar, get recipes, listen to music plus it allows you to order grocery using a built-in app called Groceries by Mastercard. Get this, it has a camera so you can see what’s in your refrigerator while you’re at the grocery store. Hello! Can life get any easier? I don’t think so. You can also mirror your TV to the refrigerator, so if you’re in the kitchen, you can watch your favorite shows.
