An afternoon with Maytag – Maytag Blogger Event Recap #MaytagUrIt
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. All opinions are my own.
If you follow me on Twitter, you’ve probably heard about the exclusive Maytag event I attended last week. I was ecstatic to be chosen as one of the few Bloggers to attend this event; which was held at h.h. Gregg – 9733 Roosevelt Blvd Philadelphia, PA. I wasn’t familiar with the store h.h. Gregg so I got there early, and had some time to chat with one of the sales rep, so I got an in-depth knowledge of all h.h. Gregg had to offer (will update you on that later this month). The event was a chance for the bloggers invited to learn all about the new and innovative technology Maytag has to offer.

#MaytagUrIt
Highlights:
Maytag is an American pride – 85% of their appliances are designed, engineered and assembled in the United States. In an economy where the most company is outsourcing jobs out of the country, I find this to be an admirable quality.

Maytag Maxima XL Laundry Pair
Built with commercial-grade technology, Maytag Maxima XL removes over 90% of household allergens with its allergen removal water cycle and steam-enhanced power cycle. The dryer has a steam and rapid refresh cycle that removes wrinkles and odors in less than 20 minutes, I like this feature because i believe it will cut down on my dry cleaning bills.
Maytag Bravo XLThe Maytag Bravo XL high-efficiency top loader can clean 21 towels in a single load with ease. With its cold water wash cycle, you save up to $2,000 a year. That’s a lot of money, if you ask me, which can be used towards a mini vacation.
Maytag kitchen packageI thought this was quite interesting – Their new ovens are equipped with AquaLift™ technology which makes cleaning a breeze – literally cuts cleaning time down to 40 mins. Anything to help eliminate the headache of cleaning I am all for it. It’s relatively easy too – Preheat oven to 200 degrees, pour 2 cups of water onto the bottom of the oven, close the door, come back 40 minutes later to wipe down the gunks and Voilà!!
The Maytag French Door Refrigerator is energy efficient and spacious. The large bottom freezer is big enough to fit a few boxes of pizza. We don’t have a bottom freezer at my house and in seeing the demo, i’m itching to get one. It can certainly fit a lot of things. The shelfs are built to last, and the temperature control system will help keep your food fresher, longer.
Kristi, the Maytag representative, talks about the Maytag Air filter and Freshflow Produce Preserver which absorb ethylene from fruits and vegetables so produce stays fresh longer.
Awesome gift bagThe event wrapped up with a raffle drawing, and I was lucky to have been one of the two winners chosen. Yes, I won a laundry pair, can you believe it. When I get my new washer and dryer, I will do a review to update you.
Final thoughts
Overall I had a fantastic time, learned a great deal about Maytag brand whom I’ve always respected. I made some new friends. Most importantly, thanks to Maytag for the incredible opportunity. Kudos to h.h. Gregg for making this an awesome experience.

My grandmother’s washer and dryer were Maytags and they lasted 30+ years. When we buy our next set, we’ll be buying Maytag because we trust the brand. Congrats on winning! How exciting 🙂

You won a laundry pair? Wow! That is wonderful! Lucky you. I have Maytag appliances- they are older but they still work fabulously so why upgrade? Unless of course I happen to win some. I would never complain about that. 🙂

HOW FUN!!
I love that they have American pride!! I don’t think any of our appliances are Maytag, but I’ll have to rethink that if we need new!
