‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 9 Audition Kicks off at NJPAC
‘America’s Got Talent’ season 9 audition kicked off last week at New Jersey Performing Art Center. I was there on the first day of auditions to cheer on the contestants and also to get a glimpse of what season 9 has to offer. All the judges are back, Mel B looked great in her white Lavin dress. I couldn’t take my eyes off her, she was on point. Heidi caught me off guard though, I couldn’t believe how skinny she was. I totally understand when they say camera adds 20 lbs. She is super skinny but beautiful none the less. Heidi was the only judge that stopped to chat with the fans. When I say stopped, I meant she carried on a full conversation and took personal pictures. She was just an all around fun gal. Her energy was infectious. Howie Mandel was friendly but swift. Nick Cannon was dressed in a hot pink suit and as always he was busting with energy. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a glimpse of Howard Stein when he walked the red carpet but I saw him in the auditorium.
Although the show isn’t scheduled to air for a few month, I already picked out a couple of people that I will be rooting for. It’s currently between an Iraq vet. name Sal and a musical family of 12. This beautiful family reminded me of the Von Trapp, you know from the sound of music and to top it off they performed, “My favorite Things” made famous by Maria (Julie Andrews). Howard Stein enjoyed their audition and compared them to the Partridge family.
Even though open castings is over you can still join in on the fun, just send in a video tape submission instruction is on the AGT auditions website.
