New Toys From Toy Fair 2014 #TFNY #TF14

I was recently at the 2014 American International Toy Fair to check out what’s new in the toy industry. The show was overwhelming but in the midst of it all, I managed to get one on one time with a few companies that had some fun information to share.  The videos below will highlight some toys that will be hitting the shelves later on this year.

Crayola Paint Maker enable kids to make their own creative tools  &  outcomes through color customization which sparks their imagination. Paint Maker  is set to hit the store shelf in June. Crayola had a few items on display but Crayola Sketch Wizard caught my eyes because it had potential to turn just about anyone into an artiste. The Sketch Wizard enables kids to draw from 2D and 3D objects as well as images from smartphones and tablets. In addition the Crayola Virtual  pro line give kids the opportunity to bring their designs to life. The Virtual pro will retail for about $39.99 while the Sketch Wizard cost $24.99. TOMY Chuggington StackTrack combines StackTrack playsets like Brewster’s Big Build Adventure Set to create really cool Megabuilds. It also challenges kids to use their imaginations to create interesting, showcase worthy Megabuilds. The Brewster’s Big Build Adventure Set will retail for about $49.99 and suggested age is 3 years+.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle has over 30 products coming out Fall 2014. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo comes to life as an 11″ Interactive Talking Turtle. Collect all 4 so they can talk to each other by providing unique responses. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Blimp holds up to 5 Turtles action figures and includes a rappelling system to quickly drop the Turtles into battle.Price range from $8.99 to $39.99

Madame Alexander Doll Company collaborated with Isaac Mizrahi on a new collection of doll apparel and accessories. Also to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz, Madame Alexander has re-designed Dorothy and her friends  with their Limited Edition Steam Punk The Wizard of Oz 16″ Doll Collection.  The entire collection will be available Fall 2014.

HEXBUG®  had a few new items coming out this fall. Here are a few that struck  a cord – VEX® Robotics gives you the liberty to design your own robot.  The structure is already being being used in STEM programs, elementary and middle school robotics competitions around the world. Nano V2 Hive allows you to customize the design and layout within a habitat set. Nano V2 Hive can be connected to any pre-existing V2 habitat set or used as a stand-alone product that kids can simply pack up to go with a convenient carrying handle. At $29.99 the price right. Also at this years show was the HEXBUG® Aquabot 2.0, its high-tech sensors enables users to wake a sleeping fish by simply running their fingers through the water, touching the fish or even tapping on the outside of the fish bowl, which will cause the once-dormant sea creature to come to life and takes off swimming. They’re all scheduled to debut this Fall, the VEX Robotics Ant, Scarab, Spider and Strandbeast will range from $49.99 – $99.99, with a Four-in-One kit available for $149.99

Tosy Robotics had the DiscoRobo a dancing robots, turn the music on and watch DiscoRobot as he showcase 56 amazing dance moves. If you have two of the robots, they can communicate with each other. If you want to get in on the phone, you can download the interactive app so you can control the robots dance moves. Price is $49.99
