Mommy & Me Style – Perfect for Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day weekend is a few weeks away but my schedule is already filled to the brim. On Friday, I am heading out to DC to hang out with families and friends at the Runway Moms For A Cause Gala . My plan is to come back Saturday afternoon just in time for a lunch date with a friend and her daughter. Then on Sunday, Mother’s Day, I will be hanging out with my family. With that being said, I figured Mother’s Day will be a perfect time to showcase affordable Mommy and Me look. I chose a preppy and sweet black/white dress because the silhouette is flattering plus the look is easy to accessorize. You can pair it with a blazer or cardigan to create a professional look. You can also wear it as-is for an easy weekend style, or jazz it up with a statement piece and wedge heels for a nautical look. For the little one, I tried coordinate with look with Mommy, nothing too far off. You can do either choose a corresponding black/white top with a nice skirt or you choose a dress similar to Moms’ pleated number. I love the whimsical flower on the little girls’ dress, so I complemented it with a gladiator sandal that had a flower accent.
