Memory Board
If your goal is a sentimental gift, a memory board is a great option.  Get a big poster board and attach favorite photos or movie and concert ticket stubs to give the graduation a celebration of beautiful memories.

Cash
This one is easy and can be as inexpensive as you want it to be.  Graduates often get money for gifts, and there is no denying that they love it.  A $100 cash gift goes a long way for a soon to be a college student.  A clever way I have found to gift cash is by framing it in a document frame or gifting it, in this DIY origami gift box.

Oh the Places You Will Go
The classic Dr. Suess book, Oh the Places You’ll Go, is a beautiful and very popular graduation gift.  You can get it for as little as $10 on Amazon!

Gym Membership
Typically you would think of a gym membership as expensive, but times have changed.  Some gyms such as Planet Fitness are only $10 per month and will be well used by young adults.  There is also no commitment required so you can pay for as little as one month.

iTunes or Amazon Gift Cards
Young people love their technology and spend a lot of money filling up their phones and devices with songs, movies, books, and games.  I have found Amazon or iTunes gift cards to be a great low-cost gift option because they are very unlikely to be exchanged, and you can get them for as little as $15 on Amazon.

Going Away to College Gift Basket
This is a fun one!  Head on into the dollar store and buy a basket and fill it with other dollar type items that a young college student will need.  Shampoos, hair care items, laundry items, and snack foods are all great items that are put to good use in a college student’s life

Kitchen / Household Starter Kit
A Kitchen and household starter kit are ideal for those graduates that are moving out on their own.  Kitchen utensils, towels, and other essential home necessities make great gifts for those just starting out.

Tool Kit
Whether the graduate is heading off to college or moving out on their own, a toolkit is a great thing for anyone to have on hand.

Gift Cards
Gift cards to grocery stores and/or restaurants are perfect for recent graduates.  Many young adults are on a tight budget so helping them afford their groceries or enjoy a splurge night out to dinner is a great gift idea.

Journal
A blank journal is a great gift for just about anyone, but a recent graduate has many big, life changing things happening.  A journal is a nice way of helping them record these memories.

So, as you can see, there are options for great graduation gifts no matter what your budget is.
