Album Review: Michael Bublé’s – To Be Loved

One of People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive, Michael Bublé is back again, finding his harmony while making his way through the American songbook with his new album appropriately titled – To be Love.
There are 4 original songs on the album which Michael co-wrote, the rest of the album consist of renditions from the likes of Frank Sinatra, the Bee Gees, Jackson 5, Elvis Presley, Van Morrison and more. He does best when he’s mimicking other great artist. Some people criticize him for that, but that’s what I like about him. Through him, I’ve discovered old songs that I probably wouldn’t have been exposed to before.
When asked about his ‘To be Loved’ album here is what Michael had to say – “I want to take you on a wonderful journey about love—all different kinds of love. The album swings big time: it rocks, it’s soulful, it’s happy, sometimes a little sad. It’s romantic, it’s yummy and it’s heartfelt.” I like his down to earth spirit; a few weeks ago he did an impromptu concert in the Lincoln center subway, NYC. He was awesome.
“You Make Me Feel So Young,” the first song on his album was originally by Frank Sinatra. He did exceptionally well by making it his own. Another favorite of mine is track number 5, “Something Stupid” featuring Actress Reese Witherspoon. I discovered how amazing Reese when she showcased her vocals in the movie Walk The Line, she is good.
If you appreciate feel-good music or classic jazz, then you will love Michael Bublé’s album “To Be Loved”. This album is available for purchase on Amazon and iTunes
Michael and his wife Luisana are expecting a baby boy due August 21st, why don’t you stop by his facebook page to wish him an early Happy Father’s Day.
