Pixar Short Lou and Cars 3

“Don’t fear failure. Be afraid of not having the chance!”

That quote is from Cars 3 (in theaters June 16). On my last Disney press trip, I got a chance to watch 45 minutes of Cars 3 and can’t wait to check out the conclusion this weekend with the family. From the few minutes I saw, it’s a film I am excited for my family to watch because of the positive message and important life lessons.

In Cars 3 we are introduced to new characters, one of them being Cruz Ramirez. Ramirez was brought on to help get McQueen back on track after being out of the limelight. Being a mom of two girls, I love Ramirez because it showed a woman can do anything she sets her mind to, plus it reinforces the fact that it’s okay to do something that isn’t considered the norm.

I don’t want to give away too much about the film but I would recommend you check it out, even if you’re not a fan of the Cars series, this will be the one you fall in love with. A few things to be cautious of though, it has mild violence, because of a car crash and scary demolition scene but other than that it’s okay.

By the way, if you’re heading out to see Cars 3, there is a surprise six-minute short film that will be played before the Car movie. The short film is called Lou. If you are taking your little one to see Cars 3, then I employ you to make sure they pay attention to Lou because the film tackles a sensitive topic but in an easy and kid-friendly manner.

I have met the writer and director of Lou, Dave Mullins twice now and he’s an amazing man with a beautiful story.
