Now that the kids are back in school, I am slowly getting back to my routine. Which involves lots of meeting and sometimes lunch falls to the side. So when I heard about Herdez Cocina Mexicana Frozen Bowls, I was intrigued. Any excuse to try out a new cuisine, I am all for it.
Easy Lunch Option with Herdez Cocina Mexicana Frozen Bowls
HERDEZ® Cocina Mexicana Frozen Bowls comes in 10 delicious flavors.
- Beef Barbacoa
- Carnitas and Charro Beans
- Pork Chile Verde
- Pork al Pastor
- Pork Chile Colorado
- Huevos Rancheros
- Chicken Chipotle
- Chicken Tinga
- Chicken Mole
- Chicken Chilaquiles
I had a chance to try three of them, the Chicken Tinga Bowl which is a Spanish-inspired rice and chicken in smoky chiptole sauce. I love spicy food, so this was my favorite out of all the three I picked up. Keep in mind that it wasn’t overall spicy but it had a little kick to it, which I enjoyed. Each bowl is about 300 plus calories. I also had the Beef Barbacoa another Spanish-inspired rice with beef seasoned with guajillo chili sauce. The Chicken mole bowl is cilantro rice with chicken in mole sauce. All 3 bowls were ready in less than 6 minutes, and they were hearty and enough to fill my appetite.
