Pineapple & Mango Salsa

Are you entertaining for Cinco De Mayo? Skip the trip to the store, and instead make this Pineapple & Mango Salsa it just wouldn’t be a party without it.  It’s a cinch to make and a guaranteed hit with any party crowd. Best part, you can whip it up in less than 10-minutes. I’m often asked, what the difference  is between Pico de Gallo and salsa? As far as I know, one is saucier than the other.

Pineapple & Mango Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced pineapple
  • 1 cup diced ripe mango
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, diced
  • 1 large tomato, seeded & diced
  • 2 tbsp. lime juice
  • 2 tbsp. chopped fresh mint
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • salt & pepper to taste

Direction

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a non-corrosive bowl
  2. Season with salt and pepper, toss and make sure it’s well coated
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour or until ready to use
  4. Serve cold

    Mango salsa is one of my favorites! I have never made it myself, though. Your recipe is super easy, so I have to try it.

    Yum! Ditching the tomato based salsa for Taco Tuesday next week and trying this. I really don’t eat enough mango. It’s one of my favorites.
