Holiday Gift in a Jar

If you’re looking for last minutes gifts, you’re in luck. Don’t worry, I waited until the last minute myself, so I know your pain. Here is how I am solving the dreaded last minute gift shopping,  by avoiding shipping deadlines and long times at the mall. I decided to put a few of my favorites items into a jar. Putting the gifts in a jar helps take it a step up from traditional gift wrapping, and if you do it right, you might even get a few points from the recipient. I like this option because it’s simple, inexpensive and so easy to put together.

Why make this gift in a jar, when you can get one in store. Well, I like the idea of picking out the content in my jar. It allows me to customize it based on what the recipient like.

Here is how I assembled this gift in a jar. For starters, I used a 2 qt glass jar, I had at home. You can get similar ones on at your local store.

To start, I filled the bottom of the jar with decorative shred, and then I arranged all my items, beginning with the Caress® Daily Silk™ Body Wash and Body Bars. You can get the Caress® Daily Silk™ products at Sam’s Club. If you go to Sam’s club, you will get the value pack body wash, which means you will get 3-packs of body wash for a reasonable price.  The Caress Daily Silk Bar comes in a pack of 12. I added 2 to the jar and kept the rest for myself. It will also make great stocking stuffers or gift add-ons. When assembling the gift jar, try not to overcrowd it. Also, feel free to add more decorative shred as needed to keep all the items in place. I attempted to balance the jar with things that vary in size so it’s even and cohesive. To finish it off, I added a bow.  Voilà, there you’ve it, a super easy and budget-friendly holiday gift in a jar.
