Homemade Vanilla Cinnamon Body Butter
Serves: 2½ cups
  • ¾ cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup shea butter soap base
  • ½ Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ Tablespoon vanilla extract
  1. Place the coconut oil and shea butter in a small saucepan. Stir occasionally, over medium-low heat, until completely melted.
  2. Remove from heat and pour into a large microwave-safe bowl. (I used a large glass Pyrex bowl).
  3. Chill for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Remove from the refrigerator and mix on medium-high speed with an electric mixer for 5 minutes. (If the mixture is too hard to mix, microwave on HIGH for 15 seconds and continue the mixing process.
  5. Add the vanilla and cinnamon. Whip for an additional 2 minutes until the body butter is smooth and creamy.
  6. Transfer to your favorite airtight glass container and store in a cool place for up to 3 months.
