Baked Sweet & Spicy Jalapeño Chicken Wings

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs. Chicken wings, tips removed at joint
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp grated ginger roots
  • 2 tbsp grated jalapeño pepper
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Sweet and Spicy Jalapeñ Glazed
  • 1 cup of Coca-Cola Zero™
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp grated jalapeño pepper
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Pour olive oil, garlic, ginger, jalapeño pepper, onion powder, and salt over the chicken wings in a resealable bag.
  2. Mix well and store in the refrigerator to marinade up to 24 hours
  3. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  4. Line a baking sheet with foil and arrange the chicken on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about 30-45 minutes until the skin, rotating halfway to make sure both sides are good
  6. In the meantime, prepare the glaze by adding Coca-Cola in a medium size saucepan and simmer for about 5 minutes
  7. Add the jalapeño pepper, honey, and brown sugar.
  8. Simmer for about 5 minutes, add the cornstarch and water mixture and stir until the sauce thickens
  9. Toss wings in sauce; remove and arrange on the broiler pan
  10. Put it under the broiler for 5 minutes
  11. Garnish with jalapeño pepper
  12. Serve with leftover sweet and spicy sauce
