My husband and I have talked about what we can do to make our family safer. Our children don’t know much about fire safety, especially in the home. I appreciate your tip to have someone come and evaluate our protection plan, including our smoke detectors. We just want our children to be safe in our home should any fires occur.

I had my dryer vent cleaned out a little over a month ago. There was a ton of lint in it. Crazy builder has the vent go out the roof! Never again will I buy a house that has a dryer vent going out of the roof.

Two of my kids require prescription meds to sleep at night and they would just sleep right through the smoke detector going off even though it is right outside their door and that is worrisome.

I grew up around police and fire men and I think the visiting the station and seeing them in gear is super important. they look SCARY in their gear if you don’t know what you’re looking at. Our local dept does relay races at their open house where the kids get to put on some of the gear, super fun and cute to watch

My daughter came home from school last week after having a fire safety drill at school and wanted to see our fire extinshers. We didn’t have any. So hubby went out and bought some. And we made our plan too!
