Disclaimer: This post was sponsored by WaterWipes as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central but my opinions are mind.
With two very active girls, it means more mess than I care to share. A simple craft can become messy quickly. With Thanksgiving around the corner, the kids are tasked with doing crafts for school, learn from our mistakes and plan accordingly. With these simple tips for easy clean up, you will be ready to combat any issue that arises in no time.
Tips for Easy Clean Up
- Have a designated area for the craft. If the weather allows, I set them up outside and let them go wild. However, if it’s cold outside, I section off a portion of their playroom and cover the table with craft paper to avoid spills. I put all the materials are in a caddy for easy access and mobility.
- Dress Appropriately. Nothing like getting permanent marker on the dress grandma bought for Christmas. To avoid this, I make sure they’re wearing an artist apron or I change them out of their clothes and give them an old shirt so if it gets stained, it won’t be a big deal. However, If you happen to get marker onto your clothes, dab with some rubbing alcohol and it will lift the paint.
- Encourage kids to clean up after themselves. This takes some time but once they get a handle on it, it becomes second nature and it will only help you in the long run.
- Keep WaterWipes within arm’s reach for quick and easy cleanup. Especially when you’re playing with colors. The wipes are chemical free and contain only two ingredients, 99.9% purified water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. It’s a safe and natural option for your little one. If you’re mindful of what you put on your child’s skin, this is worth considering. It’s great for children with sensitive skin because it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals so it won’t irritate their skin; Plus it’s extra soft, and it’s not greasy.
- Have fun. Sometimes no matter how careful you’re it’s impossible to avoid the mess. Join your children and play along aside with them.
I got the 60-ct pack of WaterWipes at Stop and Shop for $2.99. Since it’s currently on sale, I picked up a few just to be on the safe side. I’m hoping the stack will last us for a few months. You can learn more about the brand by visiting the WaterWipes website.
