Sweet Chili Ranch Burgers

Fire up the grill, and get ready to enjoy the big flavor in this Sweet Chili Ranch Burgers Recipe.  I made this burger over the weekend and it’s all I could think about since then.

Sweet Chili Ranch Burgers

I usually make this with my homemade seasoning but decided to try it with the newly released Hidden Valley Ranch Sweet Chili. To add a bit more kick, I added some finely minced chili pepper. I picked up the ranch at Walmart, using this Hidden Valley Ranch coupon. It offers $1 off, and in this economy every little bit helps.

Hidden Valley Ranch Sweet Chili

Okay back to the guest of honor, our burger. For burgers that are moist and delicious every single time, you need a good ratio of meat to fat. That means, 80% meat and 20% fat to get the best quality. Also when assembling the meat, make sure you don’t over work it or it becomes tough, and no one likes a tough burger.

Grilled Sweet Chili Ranch BurgersAs you can see from the picture above, each burger had quite a few chili pepper. You can make it plain, or top with some grilled pineapple to cut down on the spiciness of the chili pepper.

Sweet Chili Ranch Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 1lbs of ground meat (80% lean, 20% fat)
  • 1/4 cup of Hidden Valley Sweet Chill Dressing
  • 1 medium sized chili pepper, minced
  • 1/4 cup of breadcrumb
  • 1 tsp fresh coarse ground black pepper
  • 4 hamburger bun, lightly toasted
  • salt to taste

Toppings (optional)

  • 4 pineapple slices
  • 4 slice of Swiss cheese
  • 4 romaine lettuce leaf
  • 4 thinly sliced red onion
  • 4 thinly sliced tomatoes

Directions

  1. In  a medium sized bowl, combine ground beef, ranch dressing, chili pepper, bread crumbs, and salt/pepper . Mix together but careful not to overwork the meat
  2. Using your hand, divide meat into 4 equal portions and form patties. Make sure the patties is slightly larger than your bun. Using your thumb press in center of patties to make an indentation, this allows the burger to cook evenly
  3. Lightly brush the grill with oil, add the burger and grill over medium-heat for 4 minutes each on both sizes, turning once. Add the cheese the last minute of grilling so it can melt
  4. To assemble, spread the sweet chili ranch dressing on the top and bottom bun. Set the lettuce leaves and tomato slices on the bottom halves and top with the burgers, grilled pineapple, and red onion. You can add old-fashion sweet bread and butter pickle on the side.
  5. Serve immediately
