4 Super Simple Tips for a Healthy Lifestyle

4 Super Simple Tips for a Healthy Lifestyle

  1. Eat Better, Not Less.
Eating smarter is an important step to a healthy lifestyle.  That includes a hearty protein-filled breakfast to jump start your day. If possible don’t skip a meal. I love food and can’t imagine life without having a few of my favorites. Instead, I am making better choices with my food.
  2. Add exercise to your schedule.
Life gets busy, but no matter how hectic your schedule is. Try and schedule in exercise, maybe 15 minutes a day. Add exercise to your calendar as a repeat event. With Verizon Fios, you can take your exercise with you. If you subscribe to one of Verizon Fios health and wellness channel, like GAIAM, you can access various workout videos on demand, like 20 minutes total body workout or yoga for women. To make the most of your time, pick an exercise that will yield the most result with less time, maybe a high-intensity interval workout.
  3. Be strategic about meal planning.
Meal planning an essential part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle but don’t let the idea scare you off. I’ve mastered the lazy mom’s guide to meal planning. For starters, I make sure my pantry is filled with all the basics – beans, quinoa, brown rice, corn, pasta, seasonings,  etc. Then I spend a few minutes planning recipes around those, adding proteins and anything else as I see fit.
  4. Make sleep a priority.
Research shows that we need an average of 8 hours of sleep a day. It’s important to our health. If we don’t get enough sleep, it could negatively affect our health. Sadly, this is one area, I am still working feverishly hard to accomplish.

There you have it. If you do these every day, you will be one step closer to living a healthy lifestyle.
