Summit Medical Group Hosts Live Well Festival #LiveWellStayWell

Join Summit Medical Group for their 4th annual Live Well Sports and Health Festival, being held Sunday, October 6th! Happening between 12 and 4PM, rain or shine, this free event is a day of healthy fun for the whole family; including lectures by top sports specialists, delicious food demonstrations, a wide range of physical activities, PLUS the chance to meet renowned Olympic athletes Tim Morehouse (U.S. Olympic and National fencing champion), David Zhuang (World Table Tennis Champion and Olympic competitor), and members of the U.S. Olympic Rowing Team. Also, this year’s festival includes the chance to meet participants from Summit Medical Group’s first-ever #LiveWellStayWell Challenge, a 90-day challenge for 10 members to meet their health and fitness goals with help from a dedicated team of Summit Medical Group healthcare providers.

  • PLAY WELL

    Exercise is fun with sports activities and learning experiences for the whole family! Activities at the Live Well Festival include archery, basketball, face-painting, Geocaching and scavenger hunts, hay maze, Hoopnotica, table tennis, soccer fun with Cheshire Soccer, rugby from Morris Rugby, Teddy Bear Clinic, Golf Simulator with golf professionals from Basking Ridge Country Club, interactive fitness equipment from Makota, Orbitron Human Gyroscope, and rock wall-climbing.
  • EAT WELL

    Festival attendees can visit the Eat Well Demonstration Pavilion to sample healthy foods and learn how to make positive changes to their diets. Local chefs in the Eat Well Pavilion include:

#LIVEWELLSTAYWELL CHALLENGE

Summit Medical Group invites members of the community to improve their health and fitness while sharing their adventure with others, by signing up to participate in the first-ever #LiveWellStayWell Challenge; a 90-day adventure during which 10 people will pursue their health and fitness goals while sharing their experiences via video and social media.Selected participants will start off with a physical, a fitness evaluation, and a nutrition consultation by a dedicated team of Summit Medical Group healthcare providers. They’ll also be provided with a Fitbit Flexpersonal fitness tracker and a Summit Medical Group Challenge Concierge to support them throughout the Challenge.For a chance to participate in the #LiveWellStayWell Challenge, send 250 words or fewer detailing your health and fitness goals and why they’re important to you. Entries can be sent using the challenge Facebook tab, or emailed to events@smgnj.comnow through September 15th, 2013. Ten participants will be selected to participate in the #LiveWellStayWell Challenge.
