Summer Reading List for 1st and 2nd Grade. I know we’re almost done with summer vacation, but if you’re still in search of something for your 1st or 2nd grader to read in order to prepare for the upcoming school year  – listed below are 10 books from the  summer reading list my daughters  school gave her to prepare for 2nd grade. The list ranges from Easy Reader to Transitional Reader – I listed series and chapter books so you’ve a few options to choose from.   Hope it helps you to jump start your little ones summer reading goals.
