Review: Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival

Has anyone seen Mickey Mouse? Well the mouse is in the house at The Madison Square Garden from March 21st till March 31st

Feld Entertainment returned to Madison Square Garden with a two-week rocking session with Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival. I took the kids to see what all the hype was about. The show was fun with nonstop dancing and surprisingly entertaining. From the moment we walked into the theater it was evident the audience were there to jam. Everyone was dancing and cheering as their favorite characters graced the stage.  I took my girls ages 6 & 2 and they both enjoyed jumping up and singing along to all the tunes.

I love the fact that the cast got the audience involve in the acts. We couldn’t resist dancing; we were rocking to Beyonce’s – Single Ladies and Cyndi Lauper’s – Girls Just want to Have Fun, just to mentioned a few. My personal favorite was “Cotton Eyed Joe”. I am a country girl at heart so I thoroughly enjoyed the addition of this little country number – Yee-Haw!!

I was having such a good time, i barely paid attention to the rambunctious kids that kept kicking my chair from behind. I honestly could have danced all night long if possible. We sat in the back so it was hard to appreciate their costumes but overall they did an amazing job and we will definitely go back. Getting to the show was rather eventful for us. Not sure whose idea it was to drive into the city rather than take the train but if I had a do over,  I would take the train it’s so much easier and less stressful.

Our commute aside, i would definitely recommend the show.  So, if you’re ready to rock, head over to your nearest theater and check out what the mouse can do.
